5 Mother’s Day Brunch Spots in Orlando (You’ll Want to Book Early)
Let me save you some time. Mother’s Day brunch in Orlando books up fast.
Like… “why did I wait this long” fast.
The good news? Orlando has a really good brunch scene if you know where to look. These are spots I’d actually recommend, whether you’re planning something upscale, relaxed, or just want somewhere that feels special without being stressful.
Here are 5 solid options to book before they’re gone:

The Glass Knife (Winter Park)
If you want something that feels a little elevated but still relaxed, this is it.
Think beautiful pastries, great coffee, and a brunch menu that actually feels like a treat. It’s also one of those places that just looks like a Mother’s Day spot. My birthday is May 8th, so it always overlaps Mother’s Day. This is one of our go-to brunch spots to celebrate both occasions. The Glass Knife has two locations in Orlando, but keep in mind that they don’t do reservations. It’s first-come, first served. If you have a party of 6-10 guests (10 max!), you can call ahead to reserve the group patio table for 2 hours.
Best for: a low-key but aesthetic brunch
Pro tip: go earlier in the day to avoid crowds

Briarpatch Restaurant (Winter Park)
A classic for a reason.
Right on Park Ave, Briarpatch is one of the most popular brunch spots in the area and yes, it gets busy. But the food is worth it (the French toast alone is enough of a reason to go). Reservations are available on their site and they look to be available 30 days in advanced, so set a reminder in your phone to check back in a few weeks to get this booked. You’ll get the added benefit of being able to enjoy the shopping that Park Ave has to offer before or after you eat.
Best for: a traditional, reliable brunch
Pro tip: expect a wait or book ahead. This is one of the most popular areas in Winter Park, especially on the weekends.

The Boheme (Downtown Orlando)
If you’re going all out, this is your spot.
The Boheme is known for its upscale brunch experience, often with live jazz and a buffet-style spread on special occasions. It’s one of the more “occasion-worthy” options in Orlando. Located within The Grand Bohemian Orlando (one of my most recommended Orlando hotels), reservations are a must as it’s not only Mother’s Day traffic you’ll run into here, but also a myriad of business and leisure travelers in the area. I recommend booking ASAP. At the time of this writing, the only reservations available for Mother’s Day Brunch are 9:30a, 10a, and 12:30p.
Best for: a more elevated, celebratory brunch
Pro tip: reservations are a must for holidays

Maxine’s on Shine (Colonialtown)
This one feels more personal and has a bit more whimsy, if you’d like something less formal.
Maxine’s is a local favorite with a cozy, welcoming vibe and a menu that leans creative without being overcomplicated. It’s a great option if you want something that feels a little more unique. Their brunch menu is amazing with a variety of creative options, including a lobster omelet, so this one has my vote if you want something new. They accept reservations and as of this writing, there’s a ton of Mother’s Day brunch timeslots available during their brunch hours of 10-3.
Best for: a relaxed, local experience
Pro tip: great for smaller groups

Canvas Restaurant & Market (Lake Nona)
If you want space, views, and something a little different, Canvas is a great pick.
Located in Lake Nona, it offers a more modern brunch setting with lakeside views and a solid menu. It’s especially good if you’re trying to avoid the crowds in Winter Park. Lake Nona is located just on the southeastern side of Orlando International Airport, so you’ll be pretty close to activities to fill out the rest of your day. Why not take a walk in the Lake Nona Sculpture Garden?
Best for: a quieter, scenic brunch
Pro tip: ideal for larger groups or families
Quick Tip Before You Book
Mother’s Day is one of the busiest brunch days of the year. If you’re even thinking about one of these spots, book it now. Seriously. I checked reservations at all five of these restaurants while writing this post and several already have bookings filling up for the day. When planning excursions like this, it’s important to plan ahead and get those reservations in!
